Journeyman mechanic
You have done most jobs on a car and you can read your way to the rest. Bring a workable set of tools and we will keep you busy.
A journeyman is not necessarily a new mechanic. Your automotive knowledge runs from beyond the basics to most of the technology on a car, you have done most jobs on one, and you are proficient at reading manuals and current flow diagrams to determine where problems lie. You can do most jobs with moderate supervision and mentoring.
Our shop is climate-controlled, so while other mechanics are standing in front of swamp coolers and cursing the heat, you will be keeping your cool and turning hours like a boss. Since we only work on VW and Audi, we keep a heap of parts in stock to avoid delays between inspection and repairs. That means more money in your pocket each week.

Let’s manage expectations Learning where everything lives in a shop takes a month or more. The tools, the materials, the bolt bins, the chemicals, the laptops. For the first three weeks almost half your time goes to doing without something or asking somebody where it is. That is not a measure of your skill and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It is a good part of why the attendance guarantee exists. You get paid while you learn the building and while you learn the cars we work on. Get good at doing the work, then get faster.
Our goal is to keep VWs driving like new. We have devoted customers, and they depend on our commitment and expertise to keep their cars dependable. That is a trust we will not violate. If you have what it takes, you can be part of this team.
